We Need You!

ShirleyArts! relies on its volunteers to keep the organization going.

ShirleyFest! 2025

ShirleyArts! will once again sponsor this community-building event June 7th, 2025 on the Shirley Center Common. It is a day of crafters, vendors, games, music, magic, dancers, singers, food, and more!

In order to make this happen, we need volunteers to help with organization and planning for the event.

We will also need people to help with set- up and break-down on the day of the event.

Performance Assistance

Building and breakdown of sets
Lighting work, setup and operation
Sound set up and breakdown and board operation
Photography at dress rehearsals
Transport of costumes, props, set pieces between storage and the theater
Child Minders for our younger actors (must pass CORI check)
Hairstyling and makeup assistance
Hanging of stage curtains
Set painting
Prop management
Ushering
Costume sewing

Concessions

Operations of concession tables at our performances and outdoor events.

Food purchase (with reimbursement)
Food preparation
Sales
Set up and breakdown

Other Supportive Needs

Printing of programs
Hanging of posters
Photography of rehearsals
Cleaning and organization of our storage facility
Researching grants and other funding sources
